AdriaHost Mail MCP — connect business email to your AI assistant

Find messages, summarize conversations and draft replies through chat. AdriaHost Mail MCP connects a supported AdriaHost mailbox to Codex, Claude or an available ChatGPT connection.

What can you do with email?

Find and read messages by sender, subject and other supported search filters.
Summarize conversations and identify decisions and next steps. For long threads, check that the summary is complete.
Draft a reply that you can review before sending.
Send or forward a message when the connection is authorized for those actions.
Work with attachments and organize messages using the available folder, read-status and archiving tools.

What do you need?

An active mailbox on a supported AdriaHost mail server, its email address and password, and an AI app that supports remote MCP servers and OAuth authentication. Enter the password only on the secure AdriaHost connection page opened from the AI app.

Connect through Codex desktop

In the app, open Settings → MCP servers → Add server.
Enter AdriaHost Mail as the name, select Streamable HTTP and paste https://mcp.adriahost.com/mcp into the server address field.
Save the connection, choose Restart if requested, then Authenticate. The AdriaHost connection page will open.
Enter your mailbox address and password. Click Test connection, then Connect when the test succeeds. If the automatic test fails, ask support for the exact mail server hostname to enter under Advanced settings.
Return to Codex and ask it to check the connected mailbox. Then try: “Find the last five messages and show their senders and subjects.”

Connect through Claude Code

If you already use Claude Code in a terminal, add the remote server with this command. It adds the connection settings; it does not send an email.

claude mcp add --transport http adriahost-mail https://mcp.adriahost.com/mcp

Open Claude Code, enter /mcp, select AdriaHost Mail and choose authentication. Complete the same mailbox check described above in the browser that opens.

What about ChatGPT?

ChatGPT uses MCP tools through supported plugin connections. Availability depends on your account, workspace and approved connector distribution. If AdriaHost Mail is not listed among your plugins, contact support to check your connection options. To add the server directly, use the Codex or Claude Code procedure above.

Reading, sending and access control

Read permission and permission to change or send messages are separate. Confirmation before sending also depends on the AI app: enable and test it before regular use. Start by asking for drafts only. The connector does not replace the hosting panel for creating new mailboxes or configuring automatic forwarders.

You use your own AI account. ChatGPT, Codex and Claude are not included in the hosting plan. Connect only mailboxes you are authorized to use. Contact AdriaHost support with questions about your plan, permissions or an unsuccessful connection.
